The Omar Abdulhadi Foundation’s Brighter Future Scholarship Fund provides bachelor’s degree scholarships at governmental universities in Jordan to exceptional students who demonstrate both academic potential and financial need. Below are the scholarship criteria and application process.

Academic Excellence and Good Behaviour

• Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 85% or an equivalent qualification recognized official institutions.
• To maintain the scholarship, students must sustain a strong academic performance with a minimum cumulative GPA of “Very Good” throughout their studies.
• Applicants must have a clean disciplinary record with no history of academic or behavioral misconduct.

Financial Need

Foundation prioritizes students with significant financial need and requires applicants to provide proof of their financial situation

University Acceptance

• The applicant must be accepted into the university for the same academic year in which they are applying for the scholarship (first-year students only).
• Applicants must provide proof of university admission for their chosen major (after the personal interview). Admission is based on acceptance in the competitive program (tanafusi) only.
• Admission into the scholarship program is subject to approval by the fund’s selection committee.
• Scholarship recipients must remain in the university and major approved by the fund. Any changes require prior approval.

Communication and Engagement

• Interview and Statement: Candidates will be evaluated through a personal interview and a written statement (as part of the application), demonstrating their commitment to using the scholarship for academic and professional growth, as well as financial need.
• Ongoing Responsiveness: Candidates must remain responsive to the Foundation’s communications during the scholarship period and for two years afterward, as well as be involved in its workshops and activities including community work (minimum of 10 hours yearly).
